We can work on the details. Right now, I think missing Friday is a given, but we don't have to stay and do anything else if we don't want to. The festival and Masa are on Saturday. It's 17 hours to drive, and I'd like to split that up and spend the night in Chatanooga on the trip up. Coming back, if we have two drivers, we could just come straight back.

You guys were fantastic! My daughter was so sad when one of your little ones got sick and you all had to help him out. She so very much wanted to go make sure he was okay. Was he?

You sang wonderfully.

I, too, with there had been even one opportunity for the choirs from the various nations to really socialize. Maybe the organizers for next time in Rome will consider some social events for the choirs?

There are enough teenagers that even a dance might be nice. We should start asking now and maybe in four years, who knows?

I read your blog after receiving the link via youtube.

Thank you for all your nice comments and reviews about your days in Rome. I am member of the german choir who sang during the gala concert and as lead choir. We are very honored you nominated us as kind of "choir of the evening".
We had a lot of fun with all you guys. Unfortunately there was not much contact between the different choirs especially between different nations. I hope we will see each other again!

Thank you VERY much for the prayers @mum2eight. And yes, David, we were in the Piazza and taking night pics of the Pope's apartment lights ("does that make us Catholic creepers"? --comment from one of the kids) and singing and laughing and it would be so VERY VERY ironic if we *almost* crossed paths, wouldn't it????

There are a couple more opportunities. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I was counting on the ordinary just being the ordinary, but now it's the ordinary plus choral parts with the cantus firmus playing "Where's Waldo" hidden and bouncing among the voices. *sigh*

The usefulness of those videos is now relegated to working on the American Mass and working for Pueri trips domestically, so I will leave it up.
