Easter Mass 2010 with the SRYC

Sunday began Saturday afternoon when we rehearsed all afternoon to put the finishing touches on Mass.  It's been a very difficult Spring around here, what with trying to raise all this money for Rome, and the Easter music was just one more big thing to get right in the clenches...

And my darling ducklings did it very very well.  There were only two Mass disasters, and they were both caused by lack of communication between the organist and the director, and that happens when you only get to work with your organist the Saturday before the big event.  The rest of Mass went as expected, though, and as usual I am quite proud of the choir and all their hard work.

Below you will find excerpts of the music and some video clips from the Easter Liturgy at St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church in Jackson, Mississippi, on April 4th, 2010 as it happened live at the 8:00 AM Mass (for all the sound files from the Mass, CLICK HERE, and for ALL our video files, CLICK HERE):
