We Sing This Weekend: Anthem Texts

Just the one anthem b/c it's Palm Sunday Vigil Mass:

When Jesus Wept
by William Billings
-setting by Doug E. Wagner, available through
Beckenhorst Press, #BP1106-2

When Jesus wept, the falling tear,
In mercy flow'd beyond all bound.
When Jesus groaned, a trembling fear
Seized all the guilty world around, around.

O come, and mourn with me awhile,
And linger here beside (with me here beside);
O come together let us mourn:
O Jesus our Lord, is crucified.

Repeat 1st verse

Our Lord is crucified.

For the past three years, we have had the privilege to sing this Mass. As always, we welcome the parish Cantor, Brent Corbello, who will be our psalmist and song leader. The guys sure do look up to you, Brent, and we are blessed by the rumble your beautiful Bass voice makes when you sing with the choir. Thank you for all you do for St. Richard's, but especially for helping us with this magnificent Mass.
